Australia Expansion
Afrosocial Australia: A New Chapter for Black Community, Connection, and Culture
For the past few years, Afrosocial has grown from a single idea in Manchester into a global movement. What started as a simple intention — to create warm, welcoming spaces for Black professionals and creatives — has become a platform that now spans cities across the UK, the US, the Middle East, and soon, Australia.
Today, we’re excited to announce the next step in our journey: Afrosocial is officially expanding to Australia.
Why Australia?
Across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and beyond, there is a vibrant and growing Black community — professionals, creatives, entrepreneurs, students, and culture‑shapers who deserve spaces that feel like home. Spaces where you can show up solo and still feel connected. Spaces where networking doesn’t feel forced, where the music feels familiar, and where community is the centre of everything.
We’ve heard the messages, the DMs, the emails, the “When are you coming here?” questions. The answer is: now.
What Afrosocial Brings
Afrosocial has always been more than an event. It’s an experience built on three pillars:
1. Community
We design every detail with intention — from the hosts who greet you at the door to the tools we create to help you meet new people. Whether you’re new to the city or deeply rooted, you’ll find people who get you.
2. Connection
Our events are crafted for genuine interaction. No awkwardness, no cliques, no pressure. Just good conversation, shared experiences, and the chance to build meaningful relationships — personal, professional, and everything in between.
3. Culture
From Afrobeats to Amapiano, from Black excellence to Black joy, Afrosocial celebrates who we are. Every city brings its own flavour, and we can’t wait to see what Australia adds to the mix.
What to Expect
We’re currently building our local team, scouting venues, and shaping the first wave of events. While we can’t reveal everything just yet, here’s what you can look forward to:
• Launch events in key Australian cities
• Opportunities to join the Afrosocial team as a host or collaborator
• Community‑driven programming tailored to Australia’s Black diaspora
• Early‑bird tickets and exclusive launch announcements
• A space that feels like home, even if you walk in alone
This is the beginning of something special.
